A quick shout out to let you know that today is the last day of the 99 cent introductory ebook price for Stealing Mercury. After today it goes to list price at 3.99 USD.
I also want to say how much it means to me that readers have been enjoying the book and falling in love with the characters. Thank you for telling your friends and reviewing the book online. It can really help the book reach new readers. And if reviewing just isn’t your thing, feel free to contact me here. I love to hear from readers.
Have a great weekend! And always, happy reading,
Charlee
I’m doing a bit of guest blogging this week.
Today I’m visiting Veronica Scott on her blog and talking about the future I’d like to see: https://veronicascott.wordpress.com/2015/05/12/guest-author-charlee-allden-stealing-mercury/
If you missed it, I visited The Galaxy express to talk about packing for an erotic space adventure: http://www.thegalaxyexpress.net/2015/05/the-top-ten-things-to-pack-for-erotic.html
I hope you’ll visit these great blogger/authors.
And thank you all for all the support and enthusiasm for the release of Stealing Mercury!
It’s here, it’s here! I’m so excited to be sharing Mercury, Lo, Carn and Samantha with you today, er tomorrow (Okay, I couldn’t wait but you are probably reading this in the future anyway, so maybe it is today) in Stealing Mercury! If you give it a try and have the time, please let me know what you think, good or bad by leaving a review at your ebook retailer.
Now for a little extra fun… A few weeks ago I got together with a bunch of writing pals for a weekend and while we were there I got a few of them to try to read a few excerpts for you. Try? Yes try, because I may have set them up with a few hard (double entendre intended) to read scenes. 😉
Take a look:

It has been an exciting week here in balmy Florida (pouring rain right now). I want to thank everyone who is giving Stealing Mercury a try. Lot of super nice bloggers have been saying nice things about Stealing Mercury. Here are just a few:
“The character building in this book is amazing.”
~Amy from the 6 Feet Under blog“I loved this book! It was like gladiator meets sci-fi, with a modern twist to boot!”
Kawehi from Kawehi’s Book Blog“If you are a fan of Laurann Dohner you are definitely gonna love this one too!”
Jolanda of Jolanda Loves Books and cyborg Lover’s reviews on Goodreads.
Plus, tonight the books arrived for the Goodreads giveaway I’m doing for Stealing Mercury. Pretty fun to open this box!
Just waiting on Goodreads to select the winners then I get to send these out to the lucky 15 winners. I wish I had some good swag to send with them, but I haven’t gotten anything yet. Hopefully the books will be prize enough.
If you haven’t entered and would like to, the contest is open for 2 more days. Here’s the info:

Wednesday, September 24th, I’ll be making a guest appearance on Changes. A new, weekly G+Hang Out on Air talk show. It’s hosted by Sally Ember; author of the Spanner Series and much more. I’ve been acquainted with Sally for several years via The Smart Girls love SciFi blog. and through her writing. I expect we’ll be talking about blogging, SciFi, writing and books.
Changes live on Google+ at 10AM Eastern.
The episode will be live on google+ and later posted to Sally’s YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXRffkq_FUk
You can find me on Google+ as Charlee Allden and Sally as Sally Sue Ember.
This is my first video interview, so please send me lots of positive energy and maybe wish me a little luck!
Have a happy week, everyone!
I so love the growing trend of authors and readers getting together for big group book-signings and shenanigans. These things are cropping up everywhere and I am especially lucky to have one in easy driving distance. Book Bash is in its second year down in Orlando. Friend and author, Abigail Sharpe, and I drove down for the event and met up with friend and author, Chudney Thomas. We met some great ladies from Texas in the entry line. Hello, Misty and Debbie! Here we all are dizzy with heat and eager to get into the signing. That’s me in the bottom left corner with the big shades!
The event was a blast and I got to meet some of my favorite authors, like Kylie Scott, Joanna Wylde, and Amber Lin. If you have a chance to attend something like this in your area, I highly recommend it.
Special thanks to the organizer/sponsor Maryse’s Book Blog.
I’m pleased to announce my pal Priscilla Kissinger and I will be visiting Tampa this spring to present two workshops for the Tampa Area Romance Authors (TARA).
It’s always fun to meet new writers and to talk about the craft of writing. TARA is a chapter of the Romance Writers of America™ –arguably the best organization around for published and aspiring writers. Details of the date, location, and topics to be covered follow. If you are in the Tampa area and you love writing, I hope you’ll attend. Visitors are welcome.
What:
Tampa Area Romance Authors Monthly Meeting
When:
May 10th, 2014 – Saturday
10 AM – 3 PM with a Break for Lunch
Where:
Piccadilly Cafeteria
11810 North Dale Mabry Highway
Greater Carrollwood, FL
Topics:
Balancing Emotion and Pacing for Unforgettable Fiction
Authors know that emotion is the key to engaging readers in the story, but we’re often urged to trim backstory and inner dialogue and focus on driving the story forward. This workshop will provide practical tools to get that critical emotion on the page without bogging down your story. Balancing emotion and pacing will deliver the emotional impact your story needs to keep readers turning pages and push a scene or novel beyond competent to unforgettable.

The thought of writing a love scene often has the power to make a writer moan, and not in a good way. Covering the roles, types, and elements of love scenes, this workshop will arm you with the tools and tips you’ll need to tackle love scenes with passion and excitement.
